Producer - Oxford

NaturalMotion is seeking a Producer to join its Oxford based Production team.
Reporting to the VP of Production the Producer is responsible for project reporting and general day to day project management duties, whilst also assisting in the continual improvement of the production department and its core functions (e.g. planning, resourcing, reporting, risks and issue management, process and structure).

The ideal candidate will have previous project management experience and will be looking for a real opportunity to move into a demanding production role within a company creating next-generation animation technology and games.

The Producer will have a good understanding of the full software development lifecycle and have commercial experience of project planning, milestones and working to time scales within an agile environment.
Experience or awareness of agile approaches to project planning is required.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Day to day production and project management responsibilities across assigned projects.
  • Supports the generation of internal status reporting across projects
  • Identifies and resolves bottlenecks, dependencies and pipeline issues

Requirements:

  • At least 1 full Software development cycle within a Production role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, particularly in terms of verbal and written language
  • Experience and understanding of Agile/Scrum.

Network Programmer - Oxford

NaturalMotion is seeking a Network Programmer for its Oxford office to assume responsibility for all system side networking code, to maintain and extend the existing networking codebase and to act as a consultant for game programmers to help ensure future products work online efficiently.

Requirements:

  • C/C++ experience of at least 2 years
  • In depth knowledge of low level packet based communication systems, specifically TCP/UDP.
  • Knowledge of peer-to-peer and client server networking topologies
  • Experience with XBox 360 and/or PSN networking
  • Experience of working within TCR/TRC issues on PS3 and XBox 360

The successful candidate will ideally have worked with gameplay programmers to help resolve multiplayer issues

Senior Social Games Designer

NaturalMotion is looking for a Senior Designer to work on an upcoming high-profile social game on iPhone OS.

You will apply your knowledge of intuitive UI design to create an addictive genre-crossing title with strong viral components.

Working with a team of high-end graphics developers, you will help redefine the perception of social games.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and adapt design for compelling next-gen social game, based on existing concept
  • Create and maintain rolling roadmap for upcoming features spanning several months
  • Write copy and create names for all game components
  • Analyse real-time metrics and adapt game accordingly
  • Design and adjust micro-transaction features and roll-out

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in game design for Facebook, iPhone, PC or consoles
  • Good knowledge of social game mechanics

Developer Support Engineer – San Francisco

NaturalMotion is recruiting a Support Engineer to work on our acclaimed morpheme animation product. The engineer would be based in San Francisco, CA. 

This position will involve on-site work in the USA and other worldwide locations. The successful candidate will work closely alongside the development and sales teams, giving support to a wide range of game development studios.

Core to this role is the ability to:

  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with developers and artists
  • Solve technical issues for clients both within their studio environment and remotely
  • Encourage the take-up and continued use of NaturalMotion products
  • Give instructional seminars and demos
  • Write concise, useful product documentation

Required skills:

  • Strong C/C++

NaturalMotion is seeking a research engineer to take part in the development of innovative new technologies in character animation and physics, based at its headquarters in Oxford.

The successful candidate will be involved in front-line development and investigative research in a variety of topics such as procedural animation, dynamic character control, data compression and filtering.

Main Skills Required:

  • Excellent academic qualifications in a relevant discipline, preferably at the doctoral level.
  • Demonstrated strong C/C++.

Main Skills Required:

  • Experience developing & optimising on PlayStation 3 and/or Xbox 360
  • Strong C/C++ and familiarity with platform development tools
